My Muse: Photo 4 – Prague, Czech Republic

I made this pendant from a coin from the Czech Republic for my mother-in-law.

I hand painted a silver coin from the Czech Republic in bold red and black, her favorite colors.

I normally blend my paints using translucent colors, which could not be done with red and black. Even still, I was happy with the results.

I hoped she would cherish this piece since her mother was Czech and came here as a young woman with her family.

I enjoy taking coins and turning them into something not only beautiful, but something that also has an interesting bit of history to go with it.

I thought this would be a perfect item for your challenge when I saw a red flag in the photo with the same design.
