Beginner Booth in a Bag

by Natasha Burger.

I have been doing farmers market sales for a couple years now, and have a very compact, inexpensive display that actually fits in one bag – jewelery included.

The shows I have done provide a table and are all indoors, so no tent/weights/etc and no table to pack. It takes me about 15 minutes to set up. My costs were very low – under $100 for the whole thing.

This is a very doable beginner setup, it let me get out there and try market sales as a new jewelery maker with limited inventory and really limited business knowledge.

It all starts here; an indoor table at the venue and my bag of stuff

In the bag fits two recycled wine boxes (cash box and supply holder), a metal photo box (full of necklaces in ziploc bags, some table signs, business cards), a portable file portfolio ( full of fold flat necklace easels), a picture frame holder, a framed sign wrapped in a table cloth.

voila!

Behind the scenes – cash box behind easels, use transport boxes for display risers and stash all the rest under the table – Table cloths hide many evils.
