Beaded Spiders

I love working with wire in unexpected ways. I’ve tried my hand at making beaded bees and wanted to try spiders as well. I’ve seen a few beaded spiders before, but wanted to do a simple design that would highlight the beads used.

Big Blue Spider and Brass Bead Spider

So I put together a few combinations and tinkered with the design until I was happy with the result. I used three different combinations in the step by step tutorial I put together. That way you get a few different ideas for what the spider could look like. I had one spider with an oval bead for the body, look more like an ant when finished. I find that round beads are best for spider making.

Bending the Legs

When done right, a beaded spider can be worn year round.
