I cut the leaves out of copper as well as the acorn.

I then did some forming and texturing and colored using some alcohol inks and liver of sulfur.

I made the chainmaille necklace and “S” hook.

  1. What a beautiful Autumn piece, Elizabeth! I so love the way your leaves and acorn turned out – your metal treatments resulted in some lovely colors and textures. And your chain maille is a perfect companion for them.

  2. Beautiful Elizabeth! The leaves and acorn look like you picked them up from the ground! ?

  3. Catherine says:

Wow Elizabeth! Now I’m embarrassed. I just finished a necklace, but mine was acrylic leaves. Yours is beautiful!

    Hi Elizabeth,
Beautiful. Question did you seal the copper after applying the alcohol ink if so with what?
