Nifty knobs

On a recent trip to Holland I purchased some ceramic knobs with the intention to turn them into jewelry.

Once home I removed the screws, inserted long sturdy head pins and layered the knobs with interesting beads, baubles and findings which I glued into place.

The embellished knobs were then attached to long chains and augmented with bead pins, charms, etc. I was thrilled that they “turned” out so well, especially when my local shop requested them immediately upon sight!

  • These knobs make such great jewelry components, Sonja! And I especially like the little collections you chose to go with each knob. No wonder the shop snapped them up right away! 🙂

Love these! I use vintage glass knobs with sari silk for tassel necklaces.

  • Sonja Horzelenberg says:

Thanks Rena and Rolene! They were fun to make and now I am looking for other interesting knobs – glass knobs with silk tassels sound exotic!

  • Good morning.
You created a wonderful jewel. I like the way you combine the buttons with your other materials.
Looking at the necklace I think how much it will fit with a white shirt and jeans pants.
    Have a good Sunday.

  • Sonja Horzelenberg says:

Thanks, Daphne! Teaming the necklace with jeans and a white shirt is a great idea!
