Does the EuroPunch Metal Punch Require Strong Hands to Use It?

I’m wondering if the EuroPunch Rena uses in her metalwork tutorials is difficult to use?
I found what I believed to be the same one and a few reviewers said it takes a strong hand.
I’m wanting to punch holes in hammered 12 gauge copper wire ( so it’s kinda thin).
If I used an electric drill or battery operated one, might you be able to recommend a brand or even give a link to some? Ive gotten so much help from your tutorials and appreciate them very much.
