Mermaid jewels

I love making my own cabochons using nail polish.

You never quite know what you are going to end up with.

I love using blue mainly turquoise in colour.

This pendant and earring set reminds me of the ocean and makes me think of a mermaid’s jewellery.

Love these aquatic blue-green colors, Louise! Your mermaid jewels do indeed reflect the colors of the ocean. And the silver creates a lovely setting for them.

  • Louise says:

Thank you Rena, I must mention that I preferred the original photo showing the sea glass and feathers 😉 The pendant colours look good but who ever looks so close up when you’re wearing it? As you can see close up it doesn’t look as pretty 😅

  • Deborah Rodriguez says:

What a beautiful technique, Louise ! Your wirework adds great dimension! Really pretty and unique.

  • Denise Fuson says:

I love these! So beautiful and I love the colors.

  • Kevlyn Hoisington says:

Would you be willing to share some instuction on your technique?

  • jerri says: ….Hello Kevlyn this might help, found it on line…..

  • Andrea says:

I wholeheartedly disagree, I think close up it looks better! Most of us are fellow artists, and we can appreciate the technical skill that each part requires… that’s what I find especially beautiful. And this let’s me see your fantastic wirework.

  • Louise says:

Thank you Andrea for your vote of confidence, I suppose it’s a typical trait of artists, we are always too harsh on our own work😉

  • Louise says:

Thank you so much Deborah, very kind of you ❤

  • Louise says:

    Thank you Denise❤

  • Louise says:

Hi Kevlyn the link that Jerri posted is a good start. 😉

  • Linda Hursey says:

I would love to know how to do that! It is beautiful.
