Making a Bold Statement with Handmade Jewelry

I love chunky but not heavy jewelry!

Larger pieces are more in proportion for my 5’11” frame.

I made earrings using all of the different shapes of porcelain beads. Lightweight statements.

Once I discovered porcelain beads, I could create the perfect pieces of jewelry. Porcelain is a very strong ceramic material.

The chunky but lightweight ceramic beads are easy to wear. And the colors go with many things.

The first items were necklaces (which were featured here earlier – Porcelain Beads Make a Statement).

A variation using copper to accent the porcelain beads. I also used silver and antiqued gold accents in several pieces. That is how I like to design.

Then I added bracelets and earrings to this collection. The iridescent glaze adds an extra dimension and pizzazz!
