Leather Necklaces with Flair!

My love affair with leather continues!

My latest thing is to make fine leather braids and use them in place of chain on necklaces.

The braids are supple but strong, and hold their shape when I attach dangles to them.

Copper braid with jump ring dangles

How fun! I finish the necklaces with more braid around the neck – or deerskin lace or round leather cord.

I love how light the finished necklaces are to wear, and how much softer they feel on my neck than even a fine chain.

Silver metallic braid with freshwater pearls and crystal beads.
