These orange and red fall wooden laser cut leaves are hand painted by me. It was fun picking out the colors I wanted to use.

I used acrylic paints on the leaves. I painted a high acrylic gloss to finish them and protect the paint. An acrylic spray would have also worked.

I put a wooden tube bead above each leaf. The ear wires are hand made by me using sterling silver. The wire used was sterling silver, also.

The reason I chose wooden shaped leaves, is because I wanted to put essential oil drops on the back of the unfinished wood.

So that is why I only painted one side of the leaf. The unfinished wood make great diffusers for essential oils. The scent lasts for hours, and sometimes, even days!

I plan to put lemon or orange essential oils on the unfinished wood when I need a day brightener. I will put lavender oil on the back of the leaf, when I want a scent that relaxes me.
