Belt Shortage…

Do you have old belts hanging in your closet that no long fit today’s styles?
This happened to me…my old belts were made to buckle at my waist, but today’s pants’ styles button well below my waist, so the belts are too short to buckle!!
What to do??
Turn them into cute leather bracelets. In fact, five bracelets.
The last one just required a hole punch and used the existing gold belt buckle.
I used a metal bending plier, leather hole punch, rivet and snap kits.
The flat metal word connectors were found in the scrap book section of my local Michaels store. Easy, peasy.

What a fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing.
I love this idea, nice job!
How do you finish the cut ends?
They look great.
What an awesome idea! Love itππ
Love this idea Lynda. Iβm definitely going to experiment! Thanks for sharing.
Lynda, this is such a great way to use an un-wearable belt! I especially love the addition of metal with stamped messages. Great ideas!
Very imaginative. Great job.
Thank you! Note to Rose…I used a colored sharpie pen to color the cut ends. Looks great! I think acrylic paint would work well too.
