Authentic Steel Barbed Wire Choker Necklace and Bracelet Set

My friend, Cassie, and I decided to create a new signature product line, Everbloom, that incorporated her paper flowers made from vintage hymnals and my vintage assemblage jewelry – kind of like, “you got peanut butter in my chocolate. ” Next, I had the great idea of creating a chain from real barbed wire for the new collection. If only I knew then what I do now, lol.
I should have known that there was a reason I couldn’t find any chain made out of the real thing, only ones handmade out of a softer metal. No one let me in on the secret, but I’ll tell you; the learning curve to make such a chain is extremely high. Plus, you have to be tenacious and very stubborn. Luckily I possess both traits in abundance.
It took me quite a while to actually create the chain ( I’m embarrassed to tell you how long) so that it was safe and looked great. I finally came up with a chain I really liked. The end result is, I think, a bada, gorgeous chain that is safe as I blunt the barbs and solder them into place. What do you think?
This particular choker necklace and bracelet set has authentic steel barbed wire chain with paper flowers made from vintage hymnals and glass rhinestones. Everbloom is a collection of coordinating jewelry and wall art that has stylititude: style with attitude for the woman who writes her own rules. We use antique to vintage jewelry, paper flowers, and different chain on everything. And while half of the collection has barbed wire as chain for the jewelry and stems on the flowers, the other half has specialty chain such as book chain for the jewelry and stems.
