Apoxie Sculpt: First Try
by Sherry.

I’ve been curious about working with Apoxie Sculpt ever since I saw a tutorial featuring the clay and Swarovski crystals.
I ordered a sample kit of all the colours and a truly silly amount of Swarovski chatons. I’d decided I was going to make a pave pendant. Well, that didn’t happen.
Here’s what I learned:
* Even the larger rhinestones can be seriously tricky to handle.
* I need to trim my nails before working with clay.
* It felt amazing to make my very own pieces.
The pave style (link, as it turned out) didn’t work, but when I went with a sort of abstract style with a variety of larger rhinestones I got something that pleased me.
Then I made a necklace out of them (fingernail marks and all).
I’m really excited to try different techniques with Apoxie (and I’ve done a lot of watching and reading) but since I created this necklace I’ve hit a depression and my creativity (and finances) have vanished.
I’m hopeful that in few months I will be making more original pendants, drops, links and components.
