A Happy Accident

All was not lost
Do you ever have a day when things just don’t go right? When you think all is lost — all of your time spent in designing, sawing, soldering, filing, etc.? When those bezels never seem to cooperate? Then one fraction of a second and…POOF! You’re left with a sad looking edge. Well, once again it happened and I spent a few hours deciding if it could be salvaged.

The pendant back, showing the placement of the wires.
Yes, it can! I snipped away the offending portion of the bezel, drilled three little holes for three wires, balled the ends of the wires, carefully placed them in the holes, and VERY carefully soldered them in place. VoilĂ ! Now the stone can be set with the little wires snuggled against this beautiful piece of amber and I’m happy again.
