The Circle Experiment
Originally the circle section in the necklace started as an experiment. I wanted to see how a small circle would look inside a larger one that was part of a continuous group. When I finished with the experiment I put away and promptly forgot all about it.
A couple of weeks ago I was going through a box of samples and found the experiment I had done many months ago. In that same box I also found the unfinished circle bracelet.
I had a small number of rhyolite beads left from another project and decided to see how they would look with the copper. BINGO! They were made for each other. So the necklace and bracelet were finished but they needed earrings and a chain. So I made the earrings, figure 8 chain and curlicue clasp to finish the set.

Great jewelry set, Nancy! I especially love how you’ve carried the “curlicue” effect throughout.
The copper and rhyolite work nicely together too. And I really like how the earrings totally belong with the necklace and bracelet, yet have their own version of the main motif.
Sometimes having a stretch of time between the beginning and finishing of a jewelry project results in something cool that’s beyond the original idea!

This set is wonderful! Here in Hungary, jewelry sets are more popular and I try to make sets as much as possible… this is just beautiful! Thank you for sharing your work 🙂
