Tibetan Style Wire Worked Pendant

I tried my hand at creating my own pendant with 18g wire, hammering it in the hopes of stiffening the wire, but it still feels very pliable.

Short of wire-wrapping it even further, I am wondering how to keep it safe in normal wear from getting “bent out of shape.” Any input from you wire experts would be greatly appreciated!
