“Message in a Bottle” Necklace

This piece is a collaborative work between myself and my best friend (who has given permission to post work ) who provided the haiku verses in each bottle which include remnants of the sea and the messages can actually be carefully removed and read.

It combines wire-wrapped beads, nautical themed buttons, coins and trinkets, hand-made pendants and different chain styles including an upcycled bracelet.

It conveys the theme of treasures found on an old shipwreck. This piece has been entered into The Emerging Artists 2014 Competition and will eventually become a part of a collection titled “Awaiting Release.”
