This piece came about by accident, or should I say serendipity?

I was planning to use a Japanese 12-in-2 weave with the lovely, purple anodised aluminium rings, but discovered that the tiny black Oh rings would not stretch that far. What to do? Halve the number of rings in each unit and make the weave a 6-in-1 instead.

Eureka! A more delicate, feminine, stretchy bracelet.

Sometimes accidents are a good thing

I like this bracelet and the color is wonderful. Isn’t it great when you take an accident and make it into something wonderful.

Chainmaille

I didn’t know that it was called chanmaille but the name fits so well. Love the work and the color, great job!

Thanks

Thanks so much for your comments! Serendipity is a wonderful thing when it strikes. And chainmaille is a linking of any type of ring with other rings to make a chain, or sheet of ‘fabric’, so these days, it can be very different from what the knights of old wore 🙂
