Wire Wrapped Pendant

Last year – the year of change. I purchased this book Build Your Own Wire Pendants (by Kimberly Berlin) over a year ago.

Two moves in 2016 prevented me from using it (all components packed). It was a dry year.

Now, am trying some new ideas. Digging out old favorites and brushing off wire skills.

I’m thrilled with this pendant – giving as a gift, finished with a nice bail and sweetly packaged for Valentine’s Day for my sister.

  1. Wowza, Joyce! After your year of not being able to make jewelry, you bounced back spectacularly with this pendant. Your sister will be delighted with it! Did you choose the larger glass bead first, and then build the color palette from there?

  2. You got that right, spot on. The picture in the book had a similar bead in greens. I chuckled, as this was one of the very first artisan lamp work glass beads I purchased on Ebay, so many years ago. I like simple, not too much activity and this fit the bill for me. My sister loved it, by the way. Thanks so much for your encouragement. I have also been making lots of larger (8″ square) sun catchers, a great way to use up that stash of accumulated beads. It was such a surprise to open the newsletter and see my creation. Thanks for your encouragement! It’s tough to get back on that horse again. ha.

  3. Beautiful! I love the free form shape and variety of beads.
