This necklace reminded me of the intriguing femme fatale in a suspense movie.

I started the copper wire weave focal of this necklace as a way to pass the time while manning my booth at a craft fair. I honestly had no plans for it in the beginning, other than keeping my hands busy.

Creating the handmade chain takes time, but I love the effect!

Once it was finished I wasn’t sure what to do with it and it sat on my work table for over a year! Finally I decided to finish it, so I added this beautiful amethyst cabochon and handmade the chain to compliment it.

I’d been looking for just the right way to use this beautiful amethyst cabochon.

Sometimes the timing has to be just right to make the most of your inspiration. If I’d tried to finish it right away, it may have turned out very differently and less inspired. Don’t be afraid to set a project aside if you’re just not feeling inspired at that moment!
