Winter Wish Bangle
by Linda.
(New York, NY)
This is a bracelet made for a dreamer. It’ll make your day a little more magical.
It began with of random wishes scrawled in blue and purple archival ink.
Then the list was wrapped all around the bangle, on both the inside and the outside.
Here are just a few of the wishes on this bracelet:
* I wish I were an airplane.
* I wish for a “meet cute” story.
* I wish I had a billion dollars to spend on ice cream.
* I wish I had a movie theater in my living room.
* I wish for a pizza.
* I wish summer would last forever.
* I wish to be a mad genius and a supermodel.
This glossy, shimmery, decoupaged bangle has a solid metal base, and a snow white paper background.
It is protected by multiple layers of a high quality, water-resistant sealer.
I mixed a very light dusting of thin silver glitter in with the sealer, to give it a pretty, snow-like shimmer in the sunlight.
Width: Approximately 1 1/8 inch wide
Diameter: Approximately 2 6/8 inches.

Wishes to wear

Linda, what a cool idea – writing wishes and turning them into jewelry.
I also love your special touch of putting a bit of magic shimmer in the sealer!
This “wish” idea would be a really neat way to make a gift for someone who’s going through a life transition. Loved ones could write their wishes for the person, and the handwritten wishes could then be decoupaged on a bracelet.
Thank you so much for sharing this clever and charming bracelet with us, Linda!

Thanks Rena! So glad you like my bracelet! I love your idea of personalizing it for a friend. I’ll probably try that out, myself. 🙂
