Twisted Love, Flame Worked Glass Art Bead Necklace
by Cherie Elksong.
(Southeastern Arizona)
I don’t get to be on the torch, making lampwork glass creations, on a daily, or even weekly basis, so when I do get the chance, I try to create something interesting!

Close up of the focal piece
This focal bead was a practice in balancing asymmetrical form, color combination, applying metal leaf and carving, after not having been on the torch for about (cringe) 8 months.
I liked the flow & feel of it a lot & decided to see if I could create something interesting in copper wire wrapping to set it up for a pendant.

The necklace modeled
I think the wire wrap gives it even more movement & “flow” and was pleased enough with the results to make some lampwork glass beads in harmonizing colors & set it up as a finished necklace.
So, I present, “Twisted Love”! 🙂

The wire wrapping front & back of the focal are different & both sides could be worn facing forward!
