“The Forrest” Onyx Agate necklace

I got this onyx agate with these gorgeous greens that inspired me to make this piece.

I live by the Wasatch mountains and am constantly in the outdoors.

This necklace is named “The Forrest” and I created it around this stone with a reflection of nature in mind.

Onyx Agate with fresh water pearls and Swarovski crystals

It’s made with copper, fresh water pearls and Swarovski crystals.

This was the first free style piece I did.

  1. A beautifully intricate setting to display this gorgeous stone, Kristene! I love all the graceful tendrils around the main stone and beyond it. Did you make any sketches of the design first? And what a great scope for inspiration you have, seeing the Wasatch mountains every day!

  2. Yes Rena, I did sketch this one first, which was a challenge for me because I’m not an artist. But I muddled through.
I do quite enjoy where I live. The beauty of nature that surrounds me is very inspirational. Thanks, Kristene

  3. Kristene, your design & wire work AND stone are gorgeous! You did a wonderful job creating a piece of wearable art. You inspire me in my own wire work journey 🙂

Awesome necklace. Although it has different components they come together to make a great piece.
