Sweetheart Silver and Red Heart Necklace

I was experimenting with some new wire designs and came up with these curvy links.

My one problem was that they tended to pull apart rather easily, so to prevent that, I used a silver plated crimp cover bead to secure the 2 pieces of wire.

It makes the link very secure and adds a little more detail.

I thought since these are so feminine that they would look great combined with the red glass heart beads.

The back two sections are silver plated chain and finished with a handmade hook and eye clasp with bead detail.

  1. Lovely, graceful wire lines in this piece, Teresa! And such a brilliant fix to use the crimp cover beads to keep the wire from pulling out of shape. I agree, the crimp covers also add a nice bead detail to the wirework here. Altogether very feminine and pretty necklace!

  2. 🙂 Thank you Rena! I am trying to move away from strung pieces and work more with wire. After a long, dry spell, I am finally getting the creative flow again! Your newsletter has certainly helped with that.

  3. Very clever and beautiful solution!
