Aye ! Aye! Captain !

As our season changes, I wanted to create jewelry that would shout Summertime and Patriotism.

While surfing the net for my latest passion, Vintage Buttons, an assortment of Nautical themed Celluoid, Bakelite and more modern plastic buttons caught my eye.

I had on hand, a metal collar necklace purchase from a craft store.

Some super strong adhesive (I used E-6000) and careful arrangement of the button layers, resulted in this cute necklace.

I made matching earrings and wore the set with a navy and white striped, casual dress and sandals. Approx. Total Cost $ 22.
