Three pairs for the customer to choose from…she chose the small ones on the left

Recently rainbow themed, or chakra themed items have been popular in my shop.

These teardrop earrings on copper wire with a modern rainbow theme are especially popular.

The hoops, my personal favorite!

Starting with an 18g. copper wire, I shaped the teardrop and made the frame, then textured, oxidized and polished, and finally I seal the wire with Protectaclear to prevent tarnishing and keeping the piece pretty longer.

Then I wrap the stones starting with the amethyst at the bottom and working up to the magenta tiger eye at the top, and add the ear wires.

The second pair of teardrops, a little larger

The hoops were made a little differently, and if I choose my personal favorite, I really like the hoops!

  • Erinn, these are wonderful! Cheery, pretty, and with enough colors that you can wear them with anything. I agree, I love these rainbows with copper wire!

  • Pat Fraser says:

Bula Erinn! Your earrings are lovely…I also work with copper wire a fair bit and just wondering where you
get the Protectaclear stuff? Is it expensive? Best regards from Fiji Islands …Pat

  • Erinn says:

Thank you ladies! Pat, I get it from amazon, it’s less than $30 for either a jar you apply with a sponge or an aerosol spray. I prefer the spray, easier to work with. I live in Japan, so when a friend visits I have them bring it with them.
