My Humble Gourd gets 5 minutes of fame on Hawaii Five-O!

When I lost my job in 2009, I purchased a variety of Rena’s “How to” books about selling jewelry online, making photos of your work, and working Art Festivals. I followed her advice and it kick-started the most rewarding, happy time of my life. I will never again, have to work for a big corporation!

I make jewelry and have an Etsy shop, but also grow and sell hand-painted/carved gourds. Recently, I received an order from the Production Assistant for the Hawaii Five-O TV show!

They found me on Etsy and needed an order for a gourd delivered in 4 days! I immediately shipped the gourd and it made it to their set in Hawaii, one day early! As a special “thank you,” they left a very nice “review” on my Etsy shop.

Rena’s advice on how to promote your work on social media, provide excellent Customer Service, and networking tips, have helped me tremendously. So many talented folks make wonderfully creative art, but don’t know how to “market” their work so others will see it. Rena’s books, on how to do it, shortened my learning curve by leaps and bounds.
