My Summer Jewelry Making

This is formfolded scrap copper with an unusual fresh water pearl wired into it

The focal is made of clay, and with the impressions of weeds in it and accented with iron oxcide.
This summer, my plans include making more of my formed and fold-formed copper pieces and making more of my upcycled and repurposed leather and metal bracelets.

This is another of my ‘modern fossil’ series. Johnson grass is a hated weed in this area, but everyone seems to like it in one of these.

Last Jan, I attended a Zero landfill day, and I came home with a pile of fine ulphostrey leather samples. The metal strip was a pipe clamp from the hardware store
I will be taking a clay class so I can make more of my ‘modern fossils’ pendant pieces. I have several other ideas for clay focals, also.
