(Smyrna, New York)
It’s been a while since I ventured into wire weaving. It takes a toll on my arthritic hands and I usually have to take a short jewelry making break after making anything complicated.
I’ve had this lovely Mother of Pearl cab for years and it kept calling out to me to design something around it.
I gave in and wrapped it in bronze wire but it kept growing until it became a necklace. Luckily, I had already made the bronze Viking knit chain a while back so I cut it in half and attached it to the scrolled “hanger”.
I liked the way it turned out and admired it for a few days before listing it in my shop.
