Licensing Question

I have recently opened a jewelry shop on Etsy, mostly selling wire wrapped earrings made from sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones. I was filling out various license applications to prepare for a gem show (so I could purchase supplies wholesale) and one of the licenses my state, Maryland, offers is a Secondhand Precious Metal Object Dealer and Pawnbroker License.

I cannot tell for sure, based on the definition of the license, whether I need to apply for it. What do you guys think? Have any of you needed it?

“The Secondhand Precious Metal Object Dealer and Pawnbroker License is needed by people who commercially acquire from the public or who commercially trade with the public in secondhand precious metal objects. ”
