Green horse

This pendant of a horse has both a literal and a figurative meaning.

In horse lingo, a “green” horse means one that has not been trained, and they are really nothing but potential and possibilities.

So now you don’t have to be a horse person to get the secret behind this piece.

I made it by engraving the horse on dichroic green glass and fusing it onto black glass in the kiln so that the details would show up.

After firing and grinding, it was wrapped in gold filled wire.

I did it as part of a horse lover’s collection.

  1. Valarie, I love the double meaning of “green horse” here, and also the results of your technique. All three horse picture pendants are interesting – and your graceful wire settings are harmonious with them too.

  2. Valarie, The glass work is stunning and I so admire your elegant wire wrapping!
