The weather here in New York was thoroughly disgusting yesterday. Cold rain turned into icy snow that crystallized on the grass and car windshields. It’s still Autumn and I’m seriously missing Spring.

Since I can’t go anywhere warm and unable to change the weather no matter how hard I try, I made this bracelet instead. That makes a lot of sense doesn’t it?

In any case, it kept my mind and hands preoccupied. Perhaps if I visualize hard enough, I can bring back Spring.

A flower in the snow

Zoraida, your wire has such graceful lines here, forming vines and tendrils for your flower and buds. This bracelet reminds me of “The Secret Garden”, one of my all-time favorite books.

Thank you ladies!

Thank you ladies for your great comments.

This bracelet was my first attempt at this technique. I just sort of play with the wire and see what happens so I’ll have to make another to fiqure out a real method. The most difficult part was keeping the scrolled wire within the frame gracefully. Perhpas I should have started with the frame.

Unfortunately the winter blahs are not shaken away as I still have a cold/virus thing I can’t seem to get rid of. That doesn’t stop me from being creative though.

Rena, interesting that you should mention the secret garden. I was thinking of a hidden garden somewhere (perhaps within) when I made this.

This is beautiful!
