Funky Chunky Chain Bracelet
by Billie.
(Missouri USA)

This style has become my biggest selling piece! I’ve been making each one different, some with the faceted discs, some with pretty or flashy beads and all with lots of chain in all colors.
This one has a sort of smoky colored disc with a gold backing, layered with brass, silver, bronze and black chains. Added to one side is some dangly’s and a tassle. It’s adjustable with a lobster clasp.

Recently I was asked to bring some in to the St Charles Art Foundry for sale there. That was really exciting for me!
Now, I’ve started making them stretchy so they’re easier to get on. I use three holes crystal spacers and glass beads on the underside.
The only problem is they are so hard to photograph!
Although I have sold quite a few on my website, I’ve sold most of them right off my wrist or had orders placed for them. They are so much more gorgeous in person.
Any tips on photographing these beauties will be appreciated!
I am going to have a booth this weekend for the Florissant MO Oktoberfest, it’s my first festival type show but I will be bringing lots of these and hoping they sell!
Thanks for looking!

This is so incredibly cool, Billie. I love the multitude of strands, each a little different, with lots and lots of chain!
I visited your Etsy shop and positively drooled over your necklaces, etc. – I love your style!

I love these bracelets! Looking at the pictures they are great@ I would say that the bracelet translates best photographed on a person’s wrist, like your first shot. Maybe shots of the inside of the bracelet on a person’s wrist (clasp area)too. Good luck at the show!
Photographing tips for bangles

Hi,
I saw your Bracelet Beautiful, and tips for getting good pics of hard to photograph Jewellery.
Using a Flat Bed Scanner:-( If you have a perspex clean clear sheet to lay down 1st will protect scanner from Scratches )
Lay your piece or pieces on the scanner, cover with background you wish, material, flowers, ect to
dress it up.
Close scanner leaving a space so you dont move the jewellery, I use a matchbox, then cover your scanner with a light weight but dark blanket or sheet, material ect, right over the scanner, (blocking out light and scan).
You may have to play a bit to get the results you want, but it gives a lovely view of hard and not so hard pieces that a photo wont do justice to.
Hope this helps
