Fairy Floss Suncatcher hanging out in the garden to soak up some sun!

I love making these suncatchers, they end up being about 5″ from end to end. I find a certain sense of fulfillment in cutting out and shaping the wire, texturing it, adding the stones, finishing it off, and then hanging it up somewhere to gaze at until someone purchases it.

Testing out a background for pictures.

When working with copper, I usually oxidize and polish it to avoid the ugly tarnish copper gets, but with these I coat them with a tarnish repellent cause the orange shine is just so pretty!

A size comparison for the customer

I haven’t found any treatment (in Japan) that is safe against the skin, so I haven’t been able to do the same with my jewelry, but I’m still searching for possibilities.

I also make these Goddess Tree of Life pieces as necklace pendants (quite popular!) and earrings (working with much smaller stones!).
