Copper Etching Pendant

I am always exploring new ideas in jewelry making and copper etching caught my eye.

Etch Copper Pendant on Adjustable Neck Wire

I cut my pendant shape from copper sheeting (22 gauge works best) then using a sharpie, I drew and filled in my design onto the shape.

Etching my design onto the metal pendant requires placing it into an acid bath for 30 minutes, after cleaning the metal pendant with water I then use a steel wool pad #0000 to take off the sharpie from the metal and to polish the copper pendant.
