I am always exploring new ideas in jewelry making and copper etching caught my eye.
I cut my pendant shape from copper sheeting (22 gauge works best) then using a sharpie, I drew and filled in my design onto the shape.
Etching my design onto the metal pendant requires placing it into an acid bath for 30 minutes, after cleaning the metal pendant with water I then use a steel wool pad #0000 to take off the sharpie from the metal and to polish the copper pendant.
Rena’s tutorial on an adjustable neck wire help me complete my whole design. I love getting these journals. I can get some valuable information and design ideas that help me when I get stuck in my design process.
