Atlantisite Necklace by Tina Murphy - featured on Jewelry Making Journal

As winter starts to creep up on us I’m hesitant to let go of summer splendor and color!

So to carry me through the dark days of Winter my designs will become more and more colorful!

Here is a fun and natural colored stone found only in Tasmania – Atlantisite.

Paired with Amethyst and Russian Charoite.

Wrapped in Argentium Silver this reminds me of Mardi Gras!

  1. Tina, I know what you mean about wanting Summer’s warmth and color to last throughout the shorter, colder days of Winter. I have always loved the combination of lime green + purple, and it’s beautiful to see the amethyst and charoite bringing out the purple in the atlantisite. Gorgeous curvy wire wrapping and coiling.

  2. A highly successful creation! Looks a lot like serpentine. The wrap design is graceful and sophisticated. I love it!

  3. This is a beautiful necklace, Tina. I, too, love the lime green and purple combination, and the curves of the wirework.

  4. Always love how opposites on the color wheel attract! Superb wire work with Argentium(my favorite silver for maximum tarnish resistance; which, with the intricate and varied wires you have used, is a necessity!)
    Just a stunning tour-de-force, Tina!

  5. Debbie Gechoff says:

    Very unusual! Love the colors!
