Asymmetrical Display

Large Faceted Fuschia Chalcedony Necklace and Earrings

I like this design for a couple of reasons. First, the combination of the white frosted modern mannequin sitting on very soft chiffon material, and second the placement of the necklace itself.

I placed it asymmetrically on the bust and it works, I think, precisely because it offers both a sophisticated and a casual look.

I felt that the size of the stones needed something to balance the piece while not overpowering it.

Because the bust has placement for one earring, I think it adds to the overall look.

Asymmetry Catches the Eye
by: Rena

Hi Pauline,

The combination of asymmetry and contrast make this display – even in the photo – a real eye catcher.

The asymmetry makes you feel like this is something unique and special.

I like the one-earring aspect of it, and the way the fuchsia chalcedony and gold metal are so strikingly colorful against the white backdrop.

Also, the display itself lends the whole scene a very upscale elegance, while the jewelry captures your attention!

A very lovely setup – thank you so much for sharing it.

I think you may have been a window dresser in a past life, Pauline! You have a real artistry for staging jewelry.

Thanks, Rena
