3 Copper Wire Pendants

by Rochelle Hughes.

I have always worked in sterling silver, but it was suggested to me by a client that I should try doing a line in copper for her salon, so I decided to give copper an honest try.

I found the metal a little soft and I have to admit that it took me a bit to get used to the tension that I had to keep on the wire, however I did enjoy working with the copper, and it’s warmth inspired me to create these pendents with a little vintage flare.

I used 16ga. copper wire for the frames and 26ga. Copper wire for all the wrapping and weaving, I also incorporated a porcelain piece for the first pendant, an agate for the second and a quartz crystal point for the third pendant

These pendants are beautiful. I love what you’ve created with wire. I’m sure they would be just as lovely in silver or bronze as well.

Thanks!
