Green “fancy cut” ametrine necklace

Sadly, my mother in law passed away in June 2018.

Prior to her death, she showed me some loose stones that she wanted me to have.

A close up of the pendant and a full shot of the finished piece.

Her husband bought them, and never had them set.

When I got them, I was amazed at the beauty and cut. Two ametrine and one amethyst.

They sat in a special box waiting for me to get the courage to do something with them…then I realized if it turned out icky, I could always start over.

I am pleased with the outcome of the two ametrine, have not yet done anything with the amethyst, I will.

Please excuse the photos, I am much better at jewels than photography…obviously.
