Another Scrap, Turned into a Necklace

Seems like I always have scraps of sheet copper laying around in my work room. Some times I use them to try out new ideas and that’s as far as it goes.
However, there are times I come up with something that is interesting enough to continue working on. This piece is from one of those times.
It all started when I decided to play around with folding a copper scrap. I’ve watched a few videos on YouTube about fold forming and learned just enough to be dangerous. This pleated copper shape is the results.
When I was finished it reminded me of a pleated skirt with an unusual hem line. Since it was fairly plain I gave it some embellishment with rectangular turquoise tubes then added more of the tubes to the chain. It needed an extra bit of weight in the center to make it hang right so I added the chain and stone drop.
It is definitely a “one of a kind ” piece and I must admit that I had a great time letting my imagination run wild with it.
