“Arigato” Mokume Gane Necklace
by Tammie Everly.

I have always been crafty, moving between many mediums. I have made jewelry for fun & gifts for several years and discovered polymer clay about a year ago. Not only I have enjoyed incorporating this medium into my jewelry, but I have been amazed at all the other amazing applications. In the last few months I have started selling some of my creations and have been so pleased that people like my work.
My husband is in the Navy and we traveled to Japan. One of the few words I learned for our trip was “arigato” meaning Thank you. This piece is made of polymer clay rectangles in the Mokume Gane technique, buri wood beads, and black glass rounds and magenta seed beads.
Arigato~ thank you for looking 🙂

Isn’t polymer clay great? I like your technique and your choice of black and white with the red is very nice.

This is a great looking jewelry set. I’ve worked with polymer clay but have never tried the Mokume Gane technique. The black and white color scheme reminds me of 1960’s pop art – very cool!
striking

This set is striking! I’ve yet to try my hand at making polymer clay beads – everyone makes it sound fun and you make them look gorgeous!!
