Wire Wrapped Czech Glass Button Ring
by Tricia Dutton.
(Walkersville, MD)
This one of a kind ring features a gorgeous red Czech glass button, size 22mm, featuring a raised floral design handpainted in gold and wrapped in antiqued tarnish resistant wire.
Creating wire wrapped bead rings is my favorite thing to do, but every once in a while I come across a really cool button, sometimes vintage, that I just know would make a great ring.
This is one of those buttons.

What a great idea for preserving and enjoying a cool button like this one.
I like that the wirework provides handmade artistry, but doesn’t compete visually with the button.
This is one of those rings that make people ask,
“Wow! What’s your ring made from?”
Thank you for posting this unique piece here, Tricia!

I do like the photo you have taken of your ring with the background of the typed card-I’m still very much a beginner as far as photography goes, and I wouldn’t have thought to use that as a background. It’s very effective!

Thanks, Suzy! I actually used a Harley Davidson book for that photo. I really like using books to display my pieces for photos. I think they add interest to the photos without taking away from the jewelry. Plus I love to read so I always have books at hand. Good luck with your picture taking!
