Olives and Oranges

In this little line of necklaces, I’ve strayed from my typical natural gemstone jewelry because, as sometimes happens, I came upon an irresistable find — these bright, soft, organic-feeling felted wool beads from Peru!

Tropical Waters

They appeal to my artistic sense of color, shape, and texture, and to my love of surprises and smiles. What could do that more than these bouncy wool balls?

School Girl Triplet

When I found them I was actually on a search for African trade beads at one of my favorite online shops featuring unusual goods: Happy Mango Beads. Their fair trade policy is awesome, and they have very unusual things, like Roman glass. Anyway, when I saw these felted wool beads, I had to have them.

Sable and Stardust

I’ve been seeing tons of felted products on Etsy–everything from cat beds to slippers–so I wanted to join the trend 🙂 Getting them in the mail satisfied all my hopes….bright colors, organic imperfect shapes, fun size and weight….and I had so much fun stringing them.

I “played” with designs from traditional primitive to evening sophisticated. I hope these sweet beads will tickle your fancy and inspire some fun explorations.
