Creative Japanese Coin Designs

Some of my favorite coins for making pendants are the Japanese coins.

14 kt yellow gold filled handcrafted bezels are used for framing these beautiful coins.

The last coin show I attended I was excited to find a 1920 vintage Japanese coin with a hole in the center.

The Japanese coin designs generally represent typical Japanese culture and everyday life in harmony with the nature such chrysanthemum, cherry blossoms, and paulownia flowers.

They also represent Japanese life based on rice planting and cropping.

Cultural properties such as famous temples and shrines are also depicted.
