Whimsical Wire Rings

I thought I’d try my hand ( no pun intended) at making some rings. I wanted my rings to be big and bold, fabulous to wear when you need some whimsy or just feeling playful.

The first ring I used a quartz crystal, 16ga. sterling silver and 26ga. sterling silver. Second ring I used a free form North American turquoise cab. 16ga, 24ga sterling silver. I antiqued the ring with a hard boiled egg to give the dark patina.

The third ring I used a boulder opal, 16ga,26ga sterling silver.

I had lots of fun doing these rings and I used all my smaller pieces of 16ga that I had left over from other projects.

I like big rings and these are fantastic. I like the 2nd and 3rd best probably because of the feature stones.

My favorite is the first one too. The wire wrap setting is perfect for this stone. Thanks for sharing these.
