Tropical Turquoise Bracelet: Mokume Gane

This bracelet is made of polymer clay. The turquoise, blue, black and white pattern is created using the mokume gane technique of layering clay, stamping it and then shaving off the stamped impression to reveal a pattern.

Tropical Turquoise Bracelet

The tiles are about 1” x 1-7/8” x 1/4”. It’s my first attempt at this type of bracelet following Melanie Muir’s excellent online tutorial on www.craftcast.com.

It’s pretty chunky, but I’m happy with my first try!
