The Red Jhumka

Jhumka is a bell shaped piece of jewelry traditional in India.

This piece reminds me what I can make from the stash of old beads that I usually tend to neglect when I buy new ones. 🙂

Gunyan: The Red Jhumka
I have made these in three to four colours for friends and customers and everyone tells me they look great on sarees and ethnic Indian wear. I think it is the wire held up in drop shape that accentuates the drop shaped antique golden bead hanging below giving it the traditional look.
