The complimenting colors of turquoise and red were calling out to be put into a bracelet.

I had a beautiful strand of faceted Amazonite beads I had used in a pair of earrings earlier in the week. That day I was wearing a red coral stretch bracelet and once I passed over those Amazonite beads..the connection was instant.

I gathered my beading supplies and set up station in gravity chair outside in sunny San Diego while my husband flew model RC airplanes.

I started out with brown leather cording, a few tibetan beads and voila the “Southwest Love” bracelet was complete. And, not without its finishing piece of a silver complimenting button.

I actually took the bracelet shopping for “its” button, that was a first! I had an idea of the button, but once I ran the bracelet next to numerous contenders of all sizes and shapes it was found.

Hence, the name “Southwest Love”.
