Source for Quality Gold-Filled or Gold Plated Chain?

My daughter and I are having a difficult time finding a supplier for either gold plated or gold-filled chain in the U.S.

We’ve gone through two suppliers already and had problems with the chain:

• On one supplier’s chain, the gold plating came right off.
• On the other supplier’s chain, people were allergic because there was nickel in it.

We’d just like quality chain at a decent price.

Raw brass chain could be an option too.
